1967 – Clifton Miller founded Fisher Boats in 1967 in West Point, Mississippi.  Fisher Boats was one of the forerunners in all aluminum welded boats.

1972 – Fisher Boats entered the market with the Water Strider 15 Deluxe – a basic 15′ fishing boat featuring 2 swivel chairs.

1978 – Fisher Boats expanded their offerings to include the Water Rover 3, Water Strider 3, Water Pacer 3, Marsh Hawk 3-V and the 3-V Pro.  Their line eventually included Mod V, Deep V, Utility fishing boats, and pontoon boats.

1990’s – Brunswick Fishing acquires Fisher Marine.  Brunswick produced the Fisher, Monarch, and Spectrum brand boats.  The Fisher was an all aluminum boat, and the Spectrum used the same aluminum hull but included a wood floor.

1996 – Tracker Marine Group acquires Fisher Marine and Spectrum brands.

1998 – Spectrum series models formally discontinued and folded into the Fisher label.  They changed to the Fisher Avenger and Fisher Hawk series.
